4-Chlorobytyryl chloride is pharmaceutical intermediate of API Fexofenadine. Shree Ganesh Remedies Limited has expertise in manufacturing Acid Chlorides (by Chlorination using thionyl chloride). 4-Chlorobutyryl chloride is synthesised reacting gamma-butyrolactone and thionyl chloride in the presence of a mixed catalyst to synthesize a 4-chlorobutyryl chloride crude product and purifying the 4-chlorobutyryl chloride crude product to obtain the 4-chlorobutyryl chloride finished product of which the purity is equal to or greater than 99%. 4-Chlorobutyryl Chloride is also used in preparation of analogs of Mitomycin C (Mitosene and Mitosane). Mitomycin C is an antitumor antibiotic.
